Feeling like you need an energy and mood boost? Miss the weekend already? Try a gentle backbend to open your heart, get your blood pumping, and get you out of your slump.
Backbends are biochemically-warming postures that will increase your pulse rate and energize your systems. I love to do gentle backbendsin the morning, because they are like an espresso to the spirit. They also stretch the shoulders, chest, forearms, hips and spine.
