Valentine’s Day is a great time to remind yourself to show some gratitude to your partner and to practice a bit of self-love. Love is exciting and gratifying – and it is actually scientifically proven to be good for your health!

Plan some fitness oriented dates with your partner or your girlfriends. I love paddle-boarding dates and couple bike rides. Don’t be afraid of a little healthy competition — it is a great way to push yourself in your workout.
Finally, one of my personal favorite benefits of love is that it actually clears up your skin! This is because healthy committed relationships are stress reducing. When you carry less stress, the free-floating cortisol in your body decreases making you less prone to breakouts. Nothing beats that great glow that comes with being in love.
